Celebrating Nakuru's Finest
The Nakuru Business & Talent Awards (NBTA) 2026 is an annual celebration dedicated to recognising, rewarding, and elevating the businesses, talents, and community heroes that make Nakuru one of Kenya's most vibrant cities.
What is NBTA 2026?
NBTA is more than an awards ceremony — it is a movement. Born from the belief that Nakuru deserves a stage as grand as its dreams, NBTA brings together the city's entrepreneurs, creatives, entertainers, service providers, and community leaders for a night of recognition, inspiration, and unity.
From the barber who never misses a fade to the security firm that keeps our neighbourhoods safe, from the matatu sacco that moves thousands daily to the fashion house defining Nakuru's style — NBTA puts the spotlight where it belongs: on the people and businesses building this city, one customer at a time.
Our Aim
Our mission is simple but powerful: to create a platform that amplifies local excellence. We believe that when small businesses and individual talents are celebrated, the entire community rises with them.
- Give Nakuru's best a national spotlight and the credibility they deserve.
- Foster healthy competition that drives quality and innovation across all sectors.
- Build a community of pride where residents actively support local brands and talent.
- Create networking opportunities that turn nominees into collaborators and winners into mentors.
Promoting Nakuru Businesses
Nakuru is the heart of the Rift Valley economy, yet too many outstanding businesses remain hidden gems. NBTA changes that by putting local enterprises — from startups to established brands — in front of thousands of engaged voters and potential customers.
When a business wins an NBTA award, it is not just a trophy — it is a trust badge. It tells every customer, investor, and partner that this brand has been vetted and chosen by the community itself. We have seen past winners land new contracts, expand to new locations, and grow their teams — all because the award gave them the visibility they deserved.
Talent Promotion
Nakuru is brimming with raw talent — musicians, dancers, designers, content creators, athletes, and artists who are pushing creative boundaries every day. NBTA exists to give these talents the platform, audience, and validation they need to turn passion into profession.
We do not just celebrate finished products; we celebrate the hustle behind them. Every nominee gets exposure. Every voter becomes a patron. And every winner becomes a beacon for the next generation of Nakuru creatives who need to see that their city believes in them.
Why It Matters
Nakuru is Kenya's fourth-largest city and one of its fastest-growing economic hubs. Yet for too long, our best stories have been told by outsiders. NBTA 2026 is our chance to tell our own story — to define Nakuru by its excellence, its creativity, its resilience, and its community spirit.
When you vote, you are not just picking a winner. You are investing in your neighbourhood barber shop, your favourite local restaurant, the security company that keeps your family safe, and the young artist who might just become Kenya's next superstar. You are saying: "We see you. We value you. We are proud of you."
